Sales in the year ended 2 February 2013 were around £10.6 billion with adjusted pre-tax profits of £715 million.
Kingfisher plc is Europe’s largest home improvement retail group and the third largest in the world, with over 1,030 stores in eight countries in Europe and Asia. Its main retail brands are B&Q, Castorama, Brico Dépôt, Screwfix. Kingfisher also has a 50% joint venture business in Turkey with Koç Group, and a 21% interest in, and strategic alliance with Hornbach, Germany’s leading large format DIY retailer.
Kingfisher plc is included in two of the main socially responsible investment indexes – the FTSE4Good and Dow Jones Sustainability indexes.
